Can I ship products with batteries from China to Japan?

Yes. Japan air freight has general and battery channels. Battery products go on the battery channel, DDP to the door in 5–7 business days.

Can loose batteries or power banks be shipped?

Loose batteries and power banks are far more restricted than built-in batteries, and whether they can go depends on the battery type and capacity. Send us the details first and we will check.

Can products without a PSE mark be shipped?

PSE applies only to products on the Act's designated list, and checking that is the importer's responsibility; a designated product without the PSE mark can't be sold legally in Japan. Send us the product details and we will confirm whether they can be shipped and cleared.

Can battery products go to Amazon FBA warehouses?

Yes, Japan air freight delivers to Amazon FBA warehouses. Amazon has its own document requirements for battery products, so prepare them in Seller Central in advance.

Wireless earbuds, smartwatches, electric toothbrushes, beauty devices and small appliances contain lithium batteries, so many couriers and general cargo services refuse them or have them sent back at the airport. PSE and Radio Rules

The Electrical Appliances and Materials Safety Act covers a designated list of electrical products; those on it must meet its standards and carry the PSE mark before they are sold in Japan, so the importer should first check whether the product is in scope. Products with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or other radio functions also need Japanese technical conformity certification (Giteki). These are the Japanese importer's responsibility; we can help check the declaration documents.
