How much does a 20ft container from China to Japan cost?

It depends on the port of loading, the goods (general cargo or dangerous goods), the sailing and the delivery address in Japan. We quote ocean freight and origin charges, Japan port charges, customs clearance and delivery line by line, so send us the product name, container type and delivery address.

How long does container shipping from China to Japan take?

Shipped from Shenzhen, cleared at Tokyo Port and delivered within the Kanto region, a container arrives about 30 days after shipment. From other ports, transit follows the vessel schedule.

We buy FOB from the factory. Can you take it from there?

Yes. Under FOB the factory loads the goods on board, and we take over the ocean freight, Japan port charges, customs clearance and delivery. We can also collect from the factory and handle export customs.

We book our own vessel. Can you handle only Japan clearance and delivery?

Yes. Booking, customs clearance, tax payment and delivery on our Japan service can be hired separately, so you can arrange the ocean freight and we clear the container in Japan and deliver it to your door.

Why are Japan port charges billed at cost?

Terminal handling, D/O fees and similar charges at the Japanese port are billed by the carrier and terminal for the work actually done, and they differ by carrier and port, so we charge them as invoiced.

Can batteries, e-bikes and other dangerous goods go by container?
